Learning for Life

At Einstein Academy we cultivate lifelong learners, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to be successful not just in school, but in life. As Lord Rabbi Jonathan Sacks says, “Education means teaching a child to be curious, to wonder, to reflect, to enquire. The child who asks becomes a partner in the learning process, an active recipient. To ask is to grow,” and we fully embrace our students as partners in their learning, encouraging their asking and their growing every step of the way. Learning for life extends beyond the classroom, integrating the universal values of Judaism every step of the way and impacting kids, families, and community...for today and the future

Inspire kids to grow through a joyful learning environment.

We believe that students learn best when learning is fun and relevant. At Einstein Academy, you can see this through:

  • A highly differentiated program that personalizes learning for each individual student. Each student works with the teachers to create a personal learning profile at the beginning of the year that includes strengths and challenges as well as learning preferences and personal interests so that the learning over the course of the year is engaging, personal, and at the right level of challenge.

  • An emphasis on both social emotional and academic growth. Through a focus on cultivating empathy and mindfulness, we help students to respect themselves and one another, developing a sense of self-awareness and awareness about the impact we each have on each other.

  • A focus on building an excitement for learning. Through opportunities for student-driven learning and personalization related to passions, students have a significant level of autonomy, allowing their interests and a sense of purpose to drive their learning.

Partner with families to create belonging for all.

We believe that siblings, parents, grandparents, care-givers, and other important adults play a valuable role in the education of kids. At Einstein Academy, you can see this through:

  • A prioritization of open, transparent communication. Through student work folders, regular communication with teachers and administration about student growth, and structured opportunities to interact with the school, we ensure that families are continually in the loop.

  • An encouragement of families to be involved. Recognizing that all families have different interests, skills, and schedules, we encourage all to find opportunities to connect in ways that are engaging to them and help to enhance our community.

  • An inclusive community. We welcome all interested families, regardless of racial, socio-economic, and religious background, appreciating the diversity each individual brings to our community and fostering an inclusive culture among both the students and families.

Empower students to make an impact on their community.

We believe that children can and will positively impact their community at any age when supported and enabled with the necessary tools. At Einstein Academy, you can see this through:

  • A basis of social entrepreneurship. Through encouraging students to not only be problem-solvers, but also problem-seekers, we work with students to identify challenges in society around them and develop solutions to make the world a better place.

  • Real-world problem solving. Students engage in the greater world, expanding the walls of their classroom in order to work with experts in various fields and connect with local businesses and organizations to enact positive change around them.

  • Exceptional faculty. Our teachers truly love children and support their individual journeys, modeling a willingness to take risks and an openness to learn themselves.

Cultivate kindness and empathy to drive action for today and the future.

We believe that it is our responsibility to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions they need to be successful, not just for today’s world, but for their world. At Einstein Academy, you can see this through:

  • A framework of high-level standards. By basing our curriculum around established standards, our students meet and surpass the benchmarks expected of other students across the state, ensuring a smooth transition to their next learning community.

  • An integration of future ready skills. Through the explicit teaching, modeling, practicing, and assessing of skills like creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication throughout our curriculum and school culture, our students are ready for whatever awaits them.

  • Inspiration to make a difference. Believing that empathy is at the heart of what it means to be human, we work with students to recognize that any individual can make a difference.
