Mission: Possible

Mission: Possible is a six-week unit for kids aged 4-9 to use design thinking to get involved in solving problems around them. It asks the question, "How can I be a problem seeker and problem solver in order to make a positive impact in our community?" It's interdisciplinary. It's hands-on and experiential. It's fun! We designed Mission: Possible to give families something to do while in quarantine during spring 2020, but we're including it here to give you a bit of a taste of what we're all about.

Each week consists of asynchronous material divided into segments (meaning that it can be done any time, at any pace), and each week builds towards the next week. The weeks address the following questions:

  • Week 1 - How can I be a problem seeker and problem solver?

  • Week 2 - How can I best help those around me?

  • Week 3 - How can I help my community?

  • Week 4 - How can I make a positive impact on the world around me? (Part 1)

  • Week 5 - How can I make a positive impact on the world around me? (Part 2)

  • Week 6 - What tools do I now have to seek out and solve problems?

Along the way, if you ever have any questions about Mission: Possible, we are just an email away

We invite you to share your journey through Mission: Possible by using #doingthepossible as you work to make an impact and better their world, one problem-solving step at time.
